Have a happy, healthy Sunday and join the '1 Malaysia Healthy Lifestyle Carnival' in Penang on Nov 7.
The event will be held at the Rukun Tetangga base in island Park, Solok Tembaga (near Greenlane Park Condo) in Penang from 8am to noon. It is organised by the Penang Bukit Gelugor MCA division, Barisan Nasional Bukit Gelugor coordinator Datuk Koay Kar Huah and his service centre.
Koay said the programme would include free blood sugar and cholesterol tests for the first 100 who register, free hearing test, free eye test and also health talks. "Our activites are suitable for the whole family. Besides tests and talks, we also have a magic show, children's colouring contest, baby photoshooting competition, lucky dip and self defence demonstrations," he told a press conference yesterday.
Koay hoped that residents in the area could take advantage of the programme and join in the activities. Besides free ice cream and breakfast for participants, there will also be promotional and information booths for health food, supplements and others.
Registration for free blood sugar and cholesterol tests and the children's colouring contest cn be made at City Wellness Pharmacy Sdn Bhd at 1-G, Ground Floor, Lorong Delima 5, Island Glades, Registration closes on Sunday, Oct 31.
Those who sign up for the blood test have to fast 10 hours prior to the test and the results will be available in a week at the pharmacy. For details, call 04-6564098 or 016-4150480.
